Jungtinių Tautų darnaus vystymosi tikslai jau penkis metus formuoja Jungtinių Tautų ir nacionalinių vyriausybių darbą ir darbotvarkes. Nors tikslai yra ambicingi ir platūs, jie reikalauja ne tik nacionalinių vyriausybių dalyvavimo ir tarptautinio bendradarbiavimo, bet taip pat savivaldybių ir net mažiausių miestelių gyventojų įsitraukimo. Žmonės gali atpažinti septyniolikos tikslų vizualizacijas, tačiau atrodo, kad dauguma piliečių nežino arba nesupranta, ką jos reiškia ir koks pastarųjų tikslas. Mes tikime, kad yra kitaip!

Šiaurės Ministrų Tarybos biuras Lietuvoje kartu su Klaipėdos jaunimo organizacijų asociacija „Apskritasis stalas“ parengė projektą „Jaunimo veiksmai tvariai plėtrai“. Projektu yra siekiama paskatinti aktyvumą, įgalinti Klaipėdos regiono jaunimą imtis veiksmų darnaus vystymosi tikslų įgyvendinime bei įtraukti ir savo bendruomenės narius.

Tam, kad jaunuoliai jaustų palaikymą šioje veikloje, į projektą taip pat įtraukti ir atstovai iš šių savivaldybių administracijų: Klaipėdos m., Klaipėdos raj., Kretingos raj., Neringos, Palangos, Šilutės raj., Skuodo raj. ir Tauragės raj. Projektas įtraukia ne tik Lietuvos savivaldybės atstovus ir jaunuolius, bet taip pat ir su Švedijoje esančia Torsas savivaldybe ir jos jaunimu tam, kad galėtumėme mokytis vieni iš kitų, palaikyti vieni kitus bei sustiprinti įtaką ir tarpkultūrinę patirtį.

Mūsų tikslas – darnus vystymasis ir pozityvios permainos mūsų bendruomenėse, prie kurių galėtumėme prisidėti visi, o ypač – jauni žmonės. Mes visi turime galios padaryti pozityvius pokyčius. Šiuo projektu siekiame duoti jauniems žmonėms įrankius, kurių pagalba jie galėtų imtis iniciatyvų spręsti svarbias problemas ir sukurti ryšį tarp savivaldybių atstovų ir jaunimo bei pagreitinti darnaus vystymosi tikslų įgyvendinimą.

Projekto oficialus atidarymas su ceremonija ir „Atrakink 1 darnaus vystymosi tikslą“ hakatonu įvyks gegužės 20 d. Renginys vyks nuotoliniu būdu. Kiti projekto renginiai numatomi vasarą, kuriais sieksime sukurti interaktyvias veiklas, skatinančias aktyvų įsitraukimą ir mokymąsi. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals have been shaping the work and agendas of the UN and national governments for more than five years. While the goals are ambitious and wide-ranging, they do not only require the participation of national governments and large, international collaborations, but also the engagement and involvement of municipalities and citizens within even the smallest towns. While people might recognise the colorful visuals of the 17 goals, it seems that most citizens do not know what does these goals mean and what is their purpose. We believe otherwise! 

The project Youth Action for Sustainable Development has been developed by the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania and KLAS to activate and empower youth in the Klaipeda region to start taking their own action towards the Sustainable Development Goals and engaging their communities in that action. To support them in this work, the project has also recruited representatives from all the participating municipalities, which are Klaipėda city, ., Klaipėda district., Kretinga district , Neringa, Palanga, Šilutė district., Skuodas distric. and Tauragė district.. But this project is not only engaging Lithuanian municipalities and youth, we are also collaborating with Torsås municipality in Sweden and their youth, to be able to learn from each other, support each other in the work and really scale and maximize the impact and intercultural experience of all. 

Our goal is to make sustainable development and the positive improvements of our communities something that we can all participate in, especially young people. We all have the power to make a difference. Through this project we are striving to give young people tools to take initiative on issues they care about and build connections between the municipalities and the youth to accelerate the achievement and awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The project will officially be kicked off on 20th of May with an opening ceremony and a „Unlock SDGs“ hackathon. This will be taking place online. The rest of the activities will be happening throughout the summer and the aim is interactive and participatory activities, encouraging active engagement and learning from all.
